Freedom Bus Manager & Ministry Overseer

The Bus Ministry Overseer is responsible for all operations related to the shelter bus ministry, ensuring that transportation services run smoothly and efficiently. They are required to pray for the staff and guests, fostering a spirit of collaboration and unity within the ministry. Additionally, the Bus Ministry Overseer must report regularly on ministry operations, volunteer coordination, and any issues that arise, working closely with the Freedom Bus team and management to ensure everyone’s needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Experience in ministry & non-profit management operations.
  • Strong Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests.
  • Required to pray for the team and guests, and report on bus operations and responsibilities.
  • Overseer for all Ministry Committees:
    • Transportation & Bus Maintenance
    • Guest Care and Health, Outreach
    • Security & Incidence Response
    • Support Services and Training
    • Operations & Supply Management

Bus Driver, Overnight Staff Workers, Security Personnel, Street-Level Workers, Cleaning Crew, Counselor, Nurse, Pastor/Ministry Chaplain

The Treasurer works closely with the Chairperson and other board members to develop and implement financial policies that align with the shelter’s mission.

The Treasurer will be responsible for overseeing donation management, grant applications, and fundraising efforts. Additionally, they will prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors and ensure transparency in all financial dealings. Experience with non-profit finances and an understanding of Christian stewardship principles are essential.

The Secretary is responsible for maintaining the organizational records, ensuring that all meetings are well-documented, and coordinating the scheduling of board meetings. This role plays a crucial part in the administration and communication flow within the Board of Directors. The Secretary ensures that minutes, reports, and other critical documents are accurate, up to date, and available for review. They will also assist the Chairperson with organizing meetings and managing legal documentation for the shelter.

The Secretary’s role is pivotal for maintaining transparency and Organization within the Freedom Bus Ministry. Their attention to detail will ensure that the shelter complies with regulatory requirements, and they will act as the central hub for all internal communications among board members.

  • Experience in record-keeping, preferably within a non-profit or Christian ministry
  • Proficient in administrative software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
